May my speech be established in my mind, and may my mind be established in my speech. O Self-luminous Divine, reveal yourself to me. May my study never leave me. I will speak the right; I will speak the truth. May that protect me, may that protect the teacher.

In the beginning, this universe was indeed the Self alone; nothing else whatsoever winked or moved. He thought: "Let Me now create the worlds."
