श्रीकृष्ण बोले — हे महाबाहो! तुम मुझसे बहुत प्रेम करते हो, इसलिए तुम्हारे भले के लिए मैं फिर एक बार अपनी परम बात कहता हूँ, सुनो।

Krishna said: You love Me dearly, so for your benefit I will share My highest teaching once more. Listen carefully.

न देवता मेरी उत्पत्ति जानते हैं, न महर्षि — क्योंकि मैं ही सब देवताओं और महर्षियों का भी मूल कारण हूँ।

Neither the gods nor the great sages know where I come from, because I am the very source of all of them.

जो मुझे अजन्मा, अनादि और सभी लोकों का महान ईश्वर जानता है, वह इंसान भ्रम से मुक्त होकर सारे पापों से छूट जाता है।

Whoever knows Me as unborn, without a beginning, and the great Lord of all worlds — that person, free from confusion, is freed from all sins.

बुद्धि, ज्ञान, भ्रम का न होना, क्षमा, सत्य, इंद्रिय-संयम, मन का संयम, सुख, दुख, जन्म-मृत्यु, भय और निर्भयता —

Intelligence, wisdom, freedom from confusion, forgiveness, truth, control of the senses, control of the mind, happiness, sorrow, birth and death, fear and fearlessness —

अहिंसा, समभाव, संतोष, तप, दान, यश और अपयश — ये सब जीवों के अलग-अलग भाव मुझसे ही प्रकट होते हैं।

Non-violence, equanimity, contentment, discipline, generosity, fame and dishonour — all these different qualities of living beings arise from Me alone.

सात महर्षि, पहले के चार सनकादि और चौदह मनु — ये सब मेरे संकल्प से मेरे भाव से पैदा हुए हैं। इन्हीं से संसार की सारी प्रजा है।

The seven great sages, the ancient four (Sanaka and others), and the fourteen Manus — all were born from My will, with My nature. All the people of this world have come from them.

जो मेरी इस विभूति और योग शक्ति को सच में जान लेता है, वह पक्के और अडिग योग से जुड़ जाता है — इसमें कोई शक नहीं।

Whoever truly understands My divine manifestations and this power of Mine becomes firmly established in unshakeable Yoga — there is no doubt about this.

मैं ही सबका मूल हूँ, मुझसे ही सब कुछ चलता है — ऐसा जानकर बुद्धिमान लोग भक्ति भाव से मुझे ही भजते हैं।

I am the source of everything; everything flows from Me. Knowing this, the wise worship Me with love and devotion.

जिनका मन और प्राण मुझमें लगे हैं, वो आपस में मेरी बातें करते हुए और मुझे ही सुनाते-बताते हुए संतुष्ट और आनंदित रहते हैं।

Their minds and lives completely absorbed in Me, they talk about Me with each other, always speaking of Me — and they stay satisfied and delighted.

जो हमेशा मुझसे जुड़े हैं और प्रेम से मेरी भक्ति करते हैं — उन्हें मैं वह बुद्धि-योग देता हूँ जिससे वो मुझे पा सकते हैं।

To those who are always connected to Me and worship Me with love, I give the insight and wisdom through which they come to Me.

उन पर दया करके मैं उनके भीतर रहते हुए, ज्ञान के प्रकाशमय दीपक से उनके अज्ञान का अँधेरा नष्ट कर देता हूँ।

Out of compassion for them, I live within them and destroy the darkness born of ignorance using the shining lamp of knowledge.

अर्जुन बोले — आप परम ब्रह्म हैं, परम धाम हैं, परम पवित्र हैं। आप ही सनातन दिव्य पुरुष हैं, देवों के भी आदि देव, अजन्मा और सर्वव्यापी हैं।

Arjuna said: You are the Supreme Brahman, the supreme home, the supreme purifier. You are the eternal, divine Person — the original God, unborn and all-pervading.

ऐसा सभी ऋषियों ने कहा है — देवर्षि नारद, असित, देवल और व्यास ने भी। और अब आप खुद भी मुझसे यही कह रहे हैं।

All the sages have said this about You — the divine sage Narada, Asita, Devala and Vyasa. And now You Yourself are telling me the same.

हे केशव! आप मुझसे जो कुछ कह रहे हैं, मैं उसे सच मानता हूँ। हे भगवन! आपके असली स्वरूप को न देवता जानते हैं न दानव।

O Krishna! I accept everything You are telling me as true. O Lord! Neither the gods nor the demons truly know Your real form.

हे पुरुषोत्तम! हे भूतेश! हे देवों के देव! हे जगत के स्वामी! आप तो बस खुद ही अपने को जानते हैं।

O Supreme Person! O Lord of all beings! O God of gods! O Master of the world! Only You Yourself know who You truly are.

इसलिए आप ही अपनी उन दिव्य विभूतियों को पूरी तरह बता सकते हैं, जिनसे आप इन सभी लोकों को व्याप्त करके स्थित हैं।

So only You can fully describe Your own divine glories — those through which You pervade and sustain all these worlds.

हे योगेश्वर! मैं निरंतर चिंतन करते हुए आपको कैसे जानूँ? और हे भगवन! किन-किन रूपों में मैं आपका ध्यान करूँ?

O Lord of Yoga! How can I always keep thinking of You and know You? And in what forms and aspects, O Lord, should I meditate on You?

हे जनार्दन! अपनी योग शक्ति और विभूतियों को फिर से विस्तार से बताइए — क्योंकि आपकी अमृत जैसी बातें सुनते हुए मेरा मन तृप्त ही नहीं होता।

O Krishna! Please tell me again in full about Your power and divine glories — because listening to Your life-giving words, I am never satisfied.

श्रीकृष्ण बोले — अच्छा, तो मैं तुम्हें अपनी प्रमुख दिव्य विभूतियाँ बताता हूँ। हे कुरुश्रेष्ठ! मेरे विस्तार का कोई अंत नहीं है।

Krishna said: Very well! I will tell you about My main divine glories. O best of the Kurus! There is no end to My full extent.

हे गुडाकेश! मैं सभी जीवों के हृदय में स्थित आत्मा हूँ — और मैं ही सभी जीवों का आदि, मध्य और अंत भी हूँ।

O Arjuna! I am the Self seated in the hearts of all living beings — and I am the beginning, middle and end of all beings.

मैं आदित्यों में विष्णु हूँ, ज्योतियों में चमकता सूर्य हूँ; मरुतों में मरीचि हूँ और नक्षत्रों में चंद्रमा हूँ।

Among the Adityas I am Vishnu; among lights I am the brilliant sun; among the Maruts I am Marichi; and among stars I am the moon.

मैं वेदों में सामवेद हूँ, देवों में इंद्र हूँ; इंद्रियों में मन हूँ और जीवों में चेतना (ज्ञानशक्ति) हूँ।

Among the Vedas I am the Sama Veda; among the gods I am Indra; among the senses I am the mind; and among living beings I am consciousness.

मैं रुद्रों में शंकर हूँ, यक्ष-राक्षसों में कुबेर हूँ; वसुओं में अग्नि हूँ और पर्वतों में मेरु हूँ।

Among the Rudras I am Shankara; among the Yakshas and Rakshasas I am Kubera; among the Vasus I am fire; and among mountains I am Meru.

हे पार्थ! पुरोहितों में बृहस्पति मुझे जानो; मैं सेनापतियों में स्कंद हूँ और जलाशयों में समुद्र हूँ।

O Arjuna! Among the priests of kings, know Me to be Brihaspati; among army commanders I am Skanda; and among bodies of water I am the ocean.

मैं महर्षियों में भृगु हूँ और शब्दों में एकाक्षर ॐ हूँ; यज्ञों में जपयज्ञ हूँ और अचल चीजों में हिमालय हूँ।

Among the great sages I am Bhrigu; among words I am the single syllable Om; among sacrifices I am the silent chanting of the name; and among the immovable things I am the Himalayas.

मैं सभी वृक्षों में पीपल हूँ और देवर्षियों में नारद हूँ; गंधर्वों में चित्ररथ हूँ और सिद्धों में कपिल मुनि हूँ।

Among all trees I am the peepal; among divine sages I am Narada; among the Gandharvas I am Chitraratha; and among the perfected sages I am Kapila Muni.

घोड़ों में अमृत से उत्पन्न उच्चैश्रवा को मुझे जानो; हाथियों में ऐरावत हूँ और मनुष्यों में राजा हूँ।

Among horses, know Me to be the divine Ucchaishravas, born from nectar; among lordly elephants I am Airavata; and among humans I am the king.

मैं शस्त्रों में वज्र हूँ, गायों में कामधेनु हूँ; प्रजा उत्पन्न करने का कारण कामदेव मैं हूँ और सर्पों में वासुकि हूँ।

Among weapons I am the thunderbolt; among cows I am Kamadhenu, the wish-fulfilling cow; I am Kamadeva, the cause of creation; and among serpents I am Vasuki.

मैं नागों में शेषनाग हूँ और जल देवताओं में वरुण हूँ; पितरों में अर्यमा हूँ और नियंत्रण करने वालों में यम हूँ।

Among the Nagas I am Ananta (Shesha); among water deities I am Varuna; among the ancestors I am Aryama; and among those who maintain order I am Yama.

मैं दैत्यों में प्रह्लाद हूँ और गणना करने वालों में काल हूँ; पशुओं में सिंह हूँ और पक्षियों में गरुड़ हूँ।

Among the demons I am Prahlada; among those who measure time I am Time itself; among animals I am the lion; and among birds I am Garuda.

मैं पवित्र करने वालों में वायु हूँ और शस्त्रधारियों में राम हूँ; जलचरों में मगरमच्छ हूँ और नदियों में गंगा हूँ।

Among those who purify I am the wind; among warriors I am Rama; among water creatures I am the crocodile; and among rivers I am the Ganga.

हे अर्जुन! मैं ही सृष्टियों का आदि, मध्य और अंत हूँ; विद्याओं में अध्यात्म विद्या हूँ और तर्क करने वालों में तर्क (वाद) हूँ।

O Arjuna! I am the beginning, middle and end of all creation; among the sciences I am the science of the Self; and among those who debate, I am the method of reasoning.

मैं अक्षरों में 'अ' हूँ और समासों में द्वंद्व समास हूँ; मैं ही अक्षय काल हूँ और सभी दिशाओं में मुख वाला विराट धाता हूँ।

Among letters I am 'A'; among compound words I am the Dvandva compound; I am undying Time; and I am the all-seeing Creator who faces every direction.

मैं सबको हर लेने वाली मृत्यु हूँ और आने वाले जीवों की उत्पत्ति का कारण हूँ; स्त्रियों के गुणों में कीर्ति, लक्ष्मी, वाणी, स्मृति, बुद्धि, धैर्य और क्षमा हूँ।

I am all-consuming Death and also the source of everything yet to come; among feminine qualities I am fame, beauty, speech, memory, intelligence, courage and forgiveness.

सामों में बृहत्साम हूँ और छंदों में गायत्री हूँ; महीनों में मार्गशीर्ष हूँ और ऋतुओं में वसंत हूँ।

Among the hymns I am the Brihatsaman; among metres I am the Gayatri; among months I am Margashirsha; and among seasons I am spring.

मैं धोखेबाजों में जुआ हूँ और तेजस्वियों में तेज हूँ; मैं विजय हूँ, उद्यम हूँ और सात्विकों का सत्त्व भाव हूँ।

Among the deceitful I am gambling; among the brilliant I am their brilliance; I am victory; I am effort; and among the pure-natured I am their goodness.

मैं वृष्णियों में वासुदेव हूँ और पांडवों में अर्जुन हूँ; मुनियों में व्यास हूँ और कवियों में उशना कवि हूँ।

Among the Vrishnis I am Vasudeva; among the Pandavas I am Arjuna; among the sages I am Vyasa; and among poets I am the poet Ushana.

मैं दंड देने वालों में दंड हूँ और जीत चाहने वालों में नीति हूँ; गुह्यों में मौन हूँ और ज्ञानियों का ज्ञान हूँ।

Among those who punish I am the rod of punishment; among those who seek victory I am wise policy; among secrets I am silence; and among the wise I am their wisdom.

हे अर्जुन! जो सभी जीवों की उत्पत्ति का बीज है, वह भी मैं ही हूँ — क्योंकि कोई भी चर या अचर जीव ऐसा नहीं जो मुझसे रहित हो।

O Arjuna! Whatever is the seed of all beings — that too is Me. There is no being, moving or unmoving, that can exist without Me.

हे परंतप! मेरी दिव्य विभूतियों का कोई अंत नहीं है। मैंने यह विस्तार तुम्हें बस संक्षेप में बताया है।

O Arjuna! There is no end to My divine glories. I have only given you a brief account of My main manifestations.

जो भी कोई विभूतियुक्त, कांतिमान या शक्तिसंपन्न प्राणी या वस्तु है — उसे तुम मेरे तेज के एक अंश से उत्पन्न जानो।

Whatever being is glorious, prosperous or powerful — know that it has come from just a spark of My radiance.

या फिर हे अर्जुन! इतना सब जानकर तुम्हें क्या करना है? बस यह जानो — मैं अपने एक अंश मात्र से इस सारे जगत को धारण करके स्थित हूँ।

Or rather, O Arjuna — what need is there for you to know all this in detail? Just know this: I hold this entire world in place with just one part of Myself.
